Description


Overview: Our Provide Advanced First Aid course (HLTAID006) gives participants the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, including management of the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. The unit applies to workers who may be required to provide, coordinate and manage a first aid response across a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings. Participants will learn how to utilise specialised first aid equipment; stabilise a casualty where medical aid has been delayed; maintain life in an unconscious casualty with the use of oxygen equipment; and operate a defibrillator unit in order to maintain life in an adult casualty in cardiac arrest. Pre-requisites: Not Applicable Licence & Regulatory Requirements: It is recommended by industry councils and legislations that this course is renewed every 3 years (HLTAID001 & HLTAID007 every 12 months) to remain up to date with the latest guidelines.

Units

Duration


Online theory + 8 hours in the classroom This course is required to be renewed every 3 years, however the CPR & provide Advanced Resuscitation every 12 months.




Cost


$255 Fees include all assessments and resources required Note for international students – we are not CRICOS registered, please check your visa requirements for enrolment. We cannot accept international students who are on a student visa if your visa specifies that you must study with a CRICOS provider.
