Weapons Safety Course


Overview: This nationally recognized course is for participants wishing to gain a Queensland Weapons Licence. Participants will learn essential skills and knowledge relating to firearms legislation, firearms in the community, licensing requirements, safe handling, safe storage and transport as well as a range of additional information that is essential for all shooters. This course has 2 components: classroom theory based training and a live practical shoot at an approved firing range. Participants can walk away from this course feeling confident and safe when using firearms. Pre-requisites: Not applicable Licence & Regulatory Requirements: All Queensland Weapons Licences are administered by Queensland Police. All participants are encouraged to read through the requirements of a Queensland Weapons Licence Application prior as they is additional requirements & fee’s payable to Queensland

Certificate issued by RTO 30200


On successful completion participants will gain a statement of attainment with the following unit: WSCQPS001 Demonstrate knowledge of firearms safety, firearms and the community WSCQPS002 Demonstrate the safe use of category A and B firearms WSCQPS005 Demonstrate the safe use of category H firearms


Classroom + range shoot Hours vary depending on catagories completing 5-8 hours


$165 (Category A, B and H) Fees include all assessments and resources required Note for international students – we are not CRICOS registered, please check your visa requirements for enrolment. We cannot accept international students who are on a student visa if your visa specifies that you must study with a CRICOS provider.
