Overview: This course is for participants whose employer requires them to carry Batons and Handcuffs whilst performing their security duties – those who carry Batons or Handcuffs must complete the required training and be authorized by their employer to carry and have a genuine reason to carry and use. Our experienced trainer covers the legalities and the skills and knowledge required to present and control a person using batons and handcuffs. Participants will gain practical experience using batons and handcuffs in a simulated environment.
Pre-requisites: There are no pre-requisites to gain entry into this course under the training package, however participants must have sufficient skills to read, write and communicate in English. Must hold a current Queensland Security Licence or completed a Certificate II or III in Security Operations.
Licence & Regulatory Requirements: This course is not a licenced course. however, industry recommendation is to complete refresher training every 2 years to maintain current with skills and industry knowledge.
Certificate issued by RTO 30200
On successful completion participants will gain a Statement of Attainment with the following units:
CPPSEC3014A Control persons using baton
CPPSEC3015A Restrain persons using handcuffs
Fees include all assessments and resources required
Note for international students – we are not CRICOS registered, please check your visa requirements for enrolment. We cannot accept international students who are on a student visa if your visa specifies that you must study with a CRICOS provider.
